Reasons you should join the WBA Trust Section

Government Advocacy
A WBA Trust Banking Section priority several years in the making, a comprehensive rewrite of Wisconsin’s trust code was signed into law in December 2013. Thanks to the hard work of Trust Banking Section members who helped write the first significant overhaul of the trust code since 1972, Wisconsin is now a more attractive state in which to conduct trust business. But trust code reform was not the banking industry’s only success in the 2013-2014 state legislative session. WBA also got laws passed that create bank service corporations and prevent local governments from enacting burdensome foreclosure-related ordinances. WBA remains the leading financial institutions trade association in every metric that matters: bills passed, hours lobbied and political action funds raised. Representation in both Madison and Washington through WBA’s powerful grassroots advocacy effort is just one advantage of joining the WBA Trust Banking Section.
